About ILO Junior
ILO Junior is the middle school edition of the International Logic Olympiad, designed to introduce young minds to the exciting world of logic and critical thinking. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and a love for problem-solving!

Eligibility
Students currently in middle school (US grades 6-8, approximately ages 11-14).
Where & When
Regional Preliminary Rounds: April 18-19, 2026 (held in-person at regional partner locations*)
Final Round: Summer 2026 at Stanford University.
Competition Structure


The ILO Junior competition consists of two rounds:
Regional Preliminary Rounds
Held in-person at regional partner locations, this round features questions designed to test the individual's logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Top performers from each region form a team invited to Stanford University for the final competition.
Final Round
The Final Round at Stanford University spans several days where teams compete and collaborate in various logic games and challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the Stanford campus and interact with peers from around the world.
Awards & Recognition
Awards will be given to the top-performing team in the final round, while outstanding individuals will receive special recognition at regional and international levels for their excellence in logical reasoning and problem-solving during the preliminary round. All participants will receive certificates of participation.
