Exam Schedule
The International Logic Olympiad (ILO) begins with a single Preliminary Round and culminates in the in-person Final Round at Stanford University.

Preliminary Rounds (In-Person & Online)
- April 25th-26th Preliminary Round Exam will be taken In person at regional partner locations. (If no regional partner is available in your area, you may take the exam online through our testing portal.)
Final Round (In-Person at Stanford University)
- The 3 day final round event will be held on July 1st-3rd 2026.
Taking Exams
If you are taking the Preliminary Round in-person:
- You must bring a valid photo ID for verification.
- Arrive early to the testing location to allow time for check-in.
- You must complete the test individually within the allotted timeframe.
- All exam rules and proctor instructions must be followed at all times.
- Failure to comply with exam rules may result in a score of 0.
- If you encounter any issues during the exam, you must notify the proctor immediately so that assistance can be provided.
If you are taking the Preliminary Round online:
- You must complete and submit the test individually within the timeframe.
- Failure to follow exam rules may result in a score of 0.
- If you encounter technical issues, you must provide screenshots and email them to us during exam hours so we can assist.
Grading & Finalist Selection
Finalists will be chosen based on your relative performance compared to the participant pool. Keep in mind that there is no minimum cut-off score to "pass" each round.
In-Person: Finalists will be chosen based on individual performance in the Preliminary Round compared to the participant pool from the in-person regional exam. These finalists will then be put into a team for the final round representing their region/country.
Online: Finalists will be chosen based on individual performance in the Preliminary Round compared to the global participant pool from the online exam. These finalists will then be put into teams for the final round.
Final Round At Stanford University
The International Logic Olympiad (ILO) 2026 Final will be held in person at Stanford University from July 1–3, 2026. Finalists from around the world will participate in a three-day event featuring the final round of testing, engaging logic puzzles, and exclusive campus tours. Participants are expected to arrange their own travel, and while we do not facilitate visas, we can provide necessary documentation for individuals who require it. There will be for finalist to cover food and other event-related expenses, subject to change depending on final arrangements and unforeseen circumstances.
