Grading
All participants take the Preliminary Round individually.
Top performers from the Preliminary Round will be invited to the Final Round at Stanford University.
- (In-Person) Finalists will be chosen based on individual performance in the Preliminary Round compared to the participant pool from the in-person regional exam. These finalists will then be put into a team for the final round representing their region/country.
- (Online) Finalists will be chosen based on individual performance in the Preliminary Round compared to the global participant pool from the online exam. These finalists will then be put into teams for the final round.
Teams are only created for the Final Round:
- (In-Person Preliminary Round Participants) If you qualify for the Final Round through testing in person at a regional site, you’ll be assigned or may form a team with other finalists at that location.
- (Online Preliminary Round Participants) If you qualify for the Final Round through the online Preliminary Round, your team will be formed from the top performers in the online testing pool.
